Why Global?
Seems somewhat obvious, but since the advance of the
internet, the whole world is easily accessible for your
business (or at least everyone that has access to the
internet). Set your business up to be truly global, you then
have a far greater audience for trade.
Do the maths, if you restrict your market to
the UK (66 million people) instead of selling to USA, Asia, and
Europe and beyond how much trade can you miss out on? The mind
boggles with multi-language and multi-currency anyone worldwide
can buy your product or service.
Clearly to go for a global market you have to
“think global” that is find an appropriate way to do global
business. If your product or service could be sold to hundreds
of different countries, how much easier would it be to get an
income or earn a good living from your business? You may have
one area of your business that could work well for the global
market, do not underestimate the potential of selling globally.
Play the numbers, you can start with a smaller geographical
area if you like, but plan global and expand globally. This
will, in time save you time and money as you set up systems
that work for the wider markets that are now available due to
globalization.
